Help Us Build a Safe Future for More Dogs in Need
Baan Maa Urgently Needs a New Home
Right now, Baan Maa is limited by space and infrastructure. We are ready to grow, and we have a plan that will transform our ability to care for more dogs and give them the safety and comfort they deserve. But we need your help to make it happen.
We are raising 400,000 THB, which is around £10,000 GBP in today’s exchange rates. We currently have 1 rai of land waiting to be changed into our name. This extra space will give dogs more room to roam, play, and relax away from danger and stress. With these funds we will:
• Build a secure outer fence with concrete and metal
A strong, secure boundary is essential to keep the dogs safe and to create a stable sanctuary they can trust.
• Construct bamboo shelters and shaded gazebos
Shade is crucial in Thailand’s heat. These shaded areas will be resting places where dogs can cool down and relax throughout the day.
• Deepen and improve the pond
Water brings life. A properly deepened pond will help with cooling and hydration, and add a natural, calming element to the land.
• Build a reliable water system and install tanks
Clean running water throughout the site will support drinking stations, cleaning, irrigation for planted areas, and everyday care.
• Create grass and soft coconut shaving sections
Comfort underfoot matters. Areas with grass and coconut shavings will give dogs a cushioned place to lie down, play, and rest without hard ground under them.
Why This Matters
At Baan Maa, every life matters. Right now, our rescue work is constrained by limited space and basic infrastructure. Dogs arrive frightened, injured, and exhausted. They need room to heal, to learn trust, and to just be dogs again.
Expanding the land and building the facilities above will:
